Workshop Description

Stakeholders of all levels of education demand that students be critical thinkers in our global society in order to succeed in the 21st century. Thus, the purpose of this one day workshop is to facilitate the teaching and learning of critical thinking skills and strategies for the classroom teacher. There is an emphasis upon activities to promote an understanding of metacognition, critical thinking skills and dispositions of students, as well as developing strategies to enhance their metacognitive and critical thinking skills and dispositions.

Participants will bring syllabi and lesson plans to revise, or will develop new syllabi and lesson plans to promote metacognition, and critical thinking and dispositions in their classes.
