Developing Digital Literacy and Wellbeing in Primary Schools Date: 29 August 2018 Wednesday
You are invited to a half day interactive WISE KIDS workshop which aims to provide you with key insights into how we can develop pupil digital literacy and wellbeing in primary schools. As digital media becomes more ubiquitous, it is key that we engage children meaningfully about what it means to be digitally connected. This involves developing their digital literacy and savviness as well as the wider skills of emotional intelligence, kindness, empathy and resilience. The workshop will also explore trends in online safety issues and effective ways to help children navigate digital environments, and be resilient, kind and responsible digital citizens. This will include practical ideas for effective parental engagement on these themes. The workshop will also feature ‘live-blogging’ so teachers can gain practical insights into how such tools can be used for reflective practice. All attendees will also gain access to a specially created Google site with links to further resources. Outcomes / expectations
