Workshop Description

Classroom Management is the cornerstone of teaching and learning. The workshop will take participants through the elements of classroom management and offer practical suggestions for effective classroom management.

The workshop will enable participants to:

  • Understand why developing good classroom management skills is essential to effective teaching and learning.
  • Identify and apply some strategies for effective classroom management.


Target Participants: Primary and Lower Secondary School Teachers


 

About the Presenter: Ms Fuziah Taha

FuziahMs Fuziah has been in the Education Service for 47 years. She started her career in Education as a teacher in a secondary school. In her 4th year of service, she joined the Educational Television Section of the Singapore Educational Media Service of MOE, which later became the Curriculum Development Institute of Singapore and then Educational Technology Division of MOE. As a Senior Media Specialist, she was involved in training and development and the production of media resources for use in teaching and learning. She has spoken at international forums and workshops on the use of technology in teaching and learning. After 20 years in educational technology department and upon completing a Diploma in Educational Administration, Ms Fuziah returned to schools to pursue her passion in developing children. She served as Vice-Principal of Ahmad Ibrahim Primary School and Principal of North View Primary School and Fuhua Primary School before joining the Pre-school Education Branch as an Associate in 2015. Ms Fuziah contributes at national level in the area of Infocomm and Environment. She is also a speaker at conferences and has presented at workshops for educators.

Workshop Fee: S$180.00 per participant. Fees are subject to GST and include all training materials, tea break and lunch.

Remarks: A minimum of 20 participants will be required for the workshop to proceed.

Other Information:
Registration is on a first-come-first serve basis. No refunds will be made for cancellations or in the case of absentees. The Academy accepts replacements for registered participants who are unable to attend for whatever reasons.
