 Continuous Quality Improvement using SPARK

Workshop Synopsis

Preschool provides a foundation for learning socially, emotionally and academically that will help a child to develop holistically. It is a place where the children are in a structured environment for learning. A quality preschool and its effective curriculum and pedagogy will help children learn together, play together and work together as they make friends.

Continuous quality improvement is one way to ensure your preschool is systematically and intentionally improving services and achieving positive learning outcomes for the children.

If you are already using SPARK and the accompanying Quality Rating Scale (QRS 0-6) or (QRS 4-6) for your preschool quality improvement, and you want to see how you can further improve your preschool quality, this is the right course for you.

In this course, you will reflect on your daily practices and how the QRS can guide you to improve your management practices, curriculum and lesson planning. The workshop will take you through the use of the QRS at the higher quality level and how to use the tool effectively for continuous quality improvement.

This course will also provide you with pedagogical strategies that will help you guide your teachers to become skilful teachers so as to make learning more engaging and motivating for the children.

A continuous quality improvement environment will make positive changes, even when things are going well.

Target audience: Preschool Leaders and Senior Teachers
