Inquiry through Dialogue to Support Writing (For Secondary School English Teachers) The workshop on Inquiry through Dialogue to Support Writing in the Secondary English Classroom will enable teachers to understand the role of inquiry through dialogue to support the writing of differing genres and for differing purposes and will provide a forum for discussing and critiquing practical strategies for teaching and assessing writing within the classroom. A brief summary of key theories on how secondary school students can be supported to build their writing skills will be presented along with current research on effective writing pedagogies. In particular, the workshops will focus upon dialogic strategies that can support various writing skills and capacity to write different genres. Outcomes
