You are invited to a half day interactive training workshop which aims to provide you with a deeper understanding of what factors affect the creativity of your students, together with a set of practical tools and strategies to help enhance their creativity. Leading educationalists, such as Professor Yong Zhao and Sir Ken Robinson, highlight that students need to learn how to be creative, innovative and entrepreneurial to be prepared for the economic challenges that lie ahead. In addition, the World Economic Forum has listed creativity as one of the top three skills needed in the workforce by 2020. The challenge is how to integrate creativity into the curriculum and pedagogy, and how to create an environment and ethos in school that supports student creativity?

About Professor Gareth Loudon Professor Gareth Loudon is Professor of Creativity at Cardiff Metropolitan University and Co-founder and Director of the Centre for Creativity. He has spent almost 30 years of his career specialising in creativity, including the creation of new inventions; research into the factors and processes affecting creativity; improving student creativity; and the design and application of creativity processes and tools for product innovation. He has worked for companies such as Apple and Ericsson and setup his own businesses. He has 5 patents to his name and over 70 publications in total. Professor Loudon is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. |
